FUNDALA PROGRAM
The Lucy Amado Foundation (Fundala)
The Lucy Amado Foundation (Fundala) considers education to be the cornerstone of human transformation and the essential component of a free and just society that provides opportunities for human development. For this reason, Fundala has developed the program “Active Citizenship”, aimed at actively promoting, through talks and interactive activities, education focused on a culture of peace, values, civic coexistence, and tolerance—key aspects for the growth, development, and progress of the country.
As part of the “Let’s Learn Active Citizenship” campaign, the Lucy Amado Foundation (Fundala) delivered five talks in four schools across the state of Zulia, achieving the following results:
Active Citizenship Program: María Teresa Añez Nava School
María Teresa Añez Nava School (private), located in Torres del Saladillo, has an approximate enrollment of 800 children. The talk delivered was “A Culture of Peace Begins at Home”, aimed at 5th and 6th grade sections, with a total of 50 students participating. Through this activity, an estimated indirect audience of 561 people was reached.

Active Citizenship Program: Luso-Venezuelan School
Luso-Venezuelan School (private), located on Avenue 20 between 71st and 72nd Streets in the El Paraíso sector, has an approximate enrollment of 800 children. The talk delivered was “The Importance of a Culture of Peace in School”, aimed at 5th and 6th grade sections, with a total of 41 students participating. Through this activity, an estimated indirect audience of 563 people was reached.
School Luso Venezolano
Active Citizenship Program: Dr. Cristóbal Mendoza School
Dr. Cristóbal Mendoza School (public), located at 93rd Street and 14th Avenue in the El Saladillo neighborhood, has an approximate enrollment of 1,000 children. The talk delivered was “Values for a Culture of Peace and Social Coexistence”, aimed at the three 5th-grade sections, with a total of 47 students participating. Through this activity, an estimated indirect audience of 706 people was reached.

Active Citizenship Program: Joaquín Esteva School (I – II)
Located on Avenue 16 between 89th and 89B Streets in the Delicias sector, has an approximate enrollment of 2,400 children. The talks delivered were “Coexistence, Values, and a Culture of Peace” and “A Culture of Peace as a Form of Human Coexistence”, aimed at five sections from 4th, 5th, and 6th grades from both the morning and afternoon shifts. A total of 100 students participated, reaching an estimated indirect audience of 1,686 people.

Participation in the OK CHAMOS Program on OK101 FM Radio
The Lucy Amado Foundation (Fundala) also had a special weekly segment every Tuesday on the radio program Ok Chamos, where topics related to values, a culture of peace, ethics, and other peaceful means of conflict resolution were promoted. The content was aimed at both children and youth, with the goal of building an active and engaged citizenry each day.
The program was broadcast on OK 101FM, a Maracaibo-based radio station with a large audience throughout the Zulia region.
