Sports Awareness Program: Talk for the Staff of the Águilas del Zulia Baseball Team
The Lucy Amado Foundation (Fundala) firmly believes that sports are a powerful force for change, transformation, and unity in Venezuelan society. This is because sports instill essential life values in individuals, such as teamwork, leadership, solidarity, camaraderie, and healthy competition.
With the goal of promoting healthy recreation, values, and peace through sports, the Lucy Amado Foundation (Fundala) has launched its social program “Sports Awareness”. In partnership with the Zulia baseball team Águilas del Zulia, the foundation will carry out a variety of activities aimed at strengthening these values.
The program began with a talk for the staff of the Águilas del Zulia baseball team, delivered by Fundala president Lucy Amado, a specialist in conflict resolution. In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of effectively applying conflict resolution tools to strengthen customer service within an organization—allowing it to better understand client needs, anticipate change, and deliver high-quality service.
The talk was held at the Luis Aparicio Stadium and was attended by the team’s president, Luis Rodolfo Machado. International speaker Lucy Amado used a variety of interactive exercises to demonstrate how negotiation, mediation, and conciliation can be applied in customer service processes—tools that foster harmony, dialogue, and positive client relationships.

Sports Awareness Program: Rafael María Baralt High Schoolt
As part of its “Sports Awareness” program, the Lucy Amado Foundation (FUNDALA) took students from Rafael María Baralt High School to a baseball practice session at the Luis Aparicio “El Grande” Stadium in Maracaibo. There, they had the chance to meet the players of the Águilas del Zulia, collect autographs, and enjoy the game against the Tigres de Aragua, held on Thursday, December 15.
The activity was led by Lucy Amado, president of Fundala, who gifted baseballs to the students as a Christmas present. These baseballs, donated by the foundation, allowed the students to request autographs from their favorite players, including José Pirela, Sandy León, and Trayvon Robinson.
Finally, the students, along with their parents, guardians, and teachers, enjoyed the game and refreshments. They expressed their gratitude to Lucy Amado and FUNDALA for this wonderful gift and for bringing joy to their holiday season with such a meaningful act of kindness and solidarity. Through initiatives like this, lives are being transformed—bringing youth closer to sports, culture, and peace, and steering them away from violence and harmful paths.
